Une solution idéale pour les petites applications commerciales

Daikin a lancé en début d'année un concept unique en son genre, le VRV-i, c'est-à-dire une pompe à chaleur VRV à refroidissement par air qui peut être entièrement intégrée à un immeuble. Ce concept est la solution idéale pour les petites applications commerciales, comme les banques et les commerces situés en centre-ville, où l'installation d'une unité extérieure peut souvent s'avérer très problématique. Nous voilà entre-temps six mois plus tard, et les premières unités ont été placées. Geert Demarie (Team Leader chez Engie Cofely) a été le premier à installer un VRV-i à l'agence namuroise de la banque Nagelmackers, et il fait part de son expérience à Lieven Verstaen (Product Manager chez Daikin Belux).

Qu'est-ce que les technologies HVAC typiques utilisées par Engie Cofely ont à offrir aux agences bancaires et aux petits commerces de détail ?

Geert Demarie : « Engie Cofely est la référence en matière de gestion intégrée de services facilitaires, offrant des solutions techniques pour les bâtiments publics et privés dans l'industrie, les aéroports et les centres de données. La société a essentiellement recours à la technologie de l'expansion directe : selon la taille de l'application, un choix est opéré entre des unités split, multi-split ou VRV. Une difficulté typique de ce genre d'application est que tout doit être installé à niveau de rue, dans la mesure où les étages supérieurs seront généralement occupés par des appartements, auquel cas l'unité extérieure ne peut être installée sur le toit. C'est pourquoi il est utile d'avoir un équipement à même de gérer une tuyauterie longue distance pour pouvoir trouver un emplacement adapté. »

Quelles étaient les exigences du client Nagelmackers ?

Geert Demarie : « Il était exclu d'installer une unité extérieure standard car l'équipement ne pouvait pas être visible. La seule possibilité était d'installer une pompe à chaleur VRV dans le garage. Nous ne pouvions en outre pas utiliser de place de parking ni d'espace de circulation. La seule solution consistait à suspendre l'équipement au plafond de manière à ne pas gêner le trafic. »

Quels ont été les difficultés et les défis de ce projet spécifique ?

Geert Demarie : « Nous ne pouvions pas toucher à la structure du bâtiment. En raison des nombreuses poutres porteuses, l'installation d'unités intérieures et d'une ventilation n'était pas forcément évidente. L'unité extérieure devait être installée dans un endroit semi-public, sans gêner ni occuper de la surface au sol. Nous sommes alors parvenus à un accord avec l'avocat de la société pour l'installation d'un système VRV-i dans les garages en sous-sol et le parking à vélos. »

Pourquoi avoir spécifiquement opté pour cette solution et quels en ont été les avantages pendant l'installation ?

Geert Demarie : « Avec le nouveau VRV-i, nous avons pu complètement installer la pompe à chaleur à l'intérieur, en suspendant l'échangeur de chaleur au plafond et en plaçant un module compresseur compact dans le parking à vélos. La séparation de la pompe à chaleur en deux parties (module compresseur et échangeur de chaleur) offre l'avantage d'une plus grande flexibilité d'installation. »

Quel type d'équipement intérieur a-t-il été installé et pour quelle raison précise ?

Geert Demarie : « Partout où cela s'avérait possible, nous avons utilisé des cassettes compactes, parce qu'elles se placent facilement dans un faux plafond. Il faut se rappeler que certaines pièces ne disposent que d'une hauteur générale très limitée : dans ces cas-là, nous avons opté pour l'installation d'un modèle mural. Une cassette à voie de soufflage circulaire a été installée dans le plafond suspendu de la zone de réception, afin de garantir une diffusion optimale de l'air. Dans l'auditorium Nagelmackers, où se tiennent des réunions à caractère officiel, nous avons installé un modèle satellite encastré, ce qui a permis de limiter au maximum l'impact visuel. »

Comment s'est passée la mise en route ?

Geert Demarie : « La mise en route a pris une demi-journée et s'est extrêmement bien passée, en dépit du fait que c'était un tout nouveau système. »

Pourquoi avoir choisi Daikin ?

Geert Demarie : « Daikin était le seul à pouvoir nous fournir une solution technique grâce au nouveau concept VRV-i (invisible). Nous travaillons en outre depuis un moment avec Daikin, et nous avons une excellente expérience de la qualité des produits, et surtout du service à la clientèle. La disponibilité des pièces de rechange est aussi un énorme plus. Les pièces sont normalement livrées le lendemain de la commande, mais une livraison express le même jour est aussi possible en cas d'urgence. »

Quel est à ce stade l'avis sur cette installation ?

Geert Demarie : « Le client est extrêmement satisfait, ce qui est le plus important à nos yeux. »

VRV-i : Le premier VRV réellement invisible

Le VRV IV série i offre une solution unique dans les situations nécessitant un système VRV totalement invisible. Le système est entièrement installé à l'intérieur et retire la chaleur de l'air extérieur par des grilles installées dans la façade du bâtiment.

La pompe à chaleur VRV-i se compose d'un module compresseur et d'un échangeur de chaleur distincts. Le module compresseur compact peut être recouvert et simplement posé sur le sol, dans un espace de stockage, dans un local technique ou dans une cuisine. L'échangeur de chaleur peut être installé dans un faux plafond. La pompe à chaleur est ainsi entièrement cachée à la vue et n'occupe donc pas de surface commerciale coûteuse au sol.

Une solution rentable

Même quand il est possible d'installer une unité extérieure, il existe de nombreuses applications où une installation intérieure s'avère préférable, comme dans les bâtiments mêlant espaces commerciaux et résidentiels. Il n'y a pas d'obstacle visuel et comme les unités sont placées à l'intérieur, elles ne nécessitent pas d'insonorisation coûteuse. Il n'est pas non plus nécessaire d'avoir recours à une grue pour l'installation puisque l'unité est livrée en deux parties. Ces éléments légers peuvent être installés par deux personnes.

Grâce aux tuyaux/tubes plus courts des unités intérieures, l'installation de tuyaux/tubes de refroidissement est aussi nettement moins coûteuse. Il est également possible de réaliser une installation sur la façade ou à l'arrière du bâtiment puisque le ventilateur Inverter de l'échangeur de chaleur permet d'adapter la PSE en fonction de la longueur des canaux.

Grâce à leur configuration bibloc, nos unités VRV IV série i sont particulièrement flexibles et faciles à installer. Placez le module échangeur de chaleur léger (1) dans votre faux plafond et installez le module compresseur compact (2) dans une arrière-boutique, un local d’entreposage ou une cuisine. Évitez les installations sur toit ou dans une ruelle sans sacrifier votre précieuse surface commerciale.
