Een ideale oplossing voor kleine commerciële toepassingen

Aan het begin van dit jaar heeft Daikin het unieke VRV i-concept gelanceerd, namelijk een luchtgekoelde VRV-warmtepomp die volledig in een gebouw kan worden geïntegreerd. Dit is een ideale oplossing voor kleine commerciële toepassingen, zoals een bankkantoor of winkel die in het stadscentrum zijn gevestigd. Op deze locaties is het soms moeilijk om een buitenunit te plaatsen. Ondertussen zijn we zes maanden verder en werden de eerste units geïnstalleerd. Geert Demarie (teamleider bij Engie Cofely) was de eerste die VRV-i liet installeren, in een bankkantoor van Bank Nagelmackers te Namen, en deelt zijn ervaring met Lieven Verstaen (productmanager bij Daikin Belux).

Welke HVAC-technologieën werden door Engie Cofely gebruikt voor bankkantoren en kleine winkels?

Geert Demarie: “Engie Cofely is een gevestigde leider in integraal facilitymanagement, die technische oplossingen voor openbare en particuliere gebouwen in de industrie, op luchthavens en in datacenters aanbiedt. Het bedrijf maakt voornamelijk gebruik van directe expansietechnologie: In functie van de omvang van de toepassing, wordt er gekozen voor split, multi-split of VRV-units. Een typische moeilijkheid met dit type van toepassing is dat alles op straatniveau moet worden geïnstalleerd. De buitenunit kan, in dat geval, niet op het dak worden geïnstalleerd. Daarom is het nuttig om over apparatuur te beschikken die overweg kan met lange leidingen, zodat men een geschikte plaats kan vinden."

Waar waren de eisen van Bank Nagelmackers?

Geert Demarie: “We konden geen standaard buitenunit installeren, omdat de apparatuur niet zichtbaar mocht zijn. De enige mogelijk was om een VRV-warmtepomp in de garage te installeren. Daarnaast was het ook niet mogelijk om parkeer- of circulatieruimte te gebruiken. De enige oplossing was om de apparatuur aan het plafond te hangen, zodat het verkeer niet zou worden gehinderd.”

Wat waren de moeilijkheden en uitdagingen van dit project?

Geert Demarie: “We mochten de structuur van het gebouw niet aanraken. Door de vele steunbalken was de installatie van de binnenunits en ventilatie niet altijd vanzelfsprekend. De buitenunit moest op een semipublieke locatie worden geïnstalleerd, zonder enige hinderen te veroorzaken of vloeroppervlak in te nemen. Vervolgens kwamen we tot een akkoord gekomen met de bedrijfsjurist en kregen we de toelating om een VRV i-systeem in de ondergrondse garages en fietsenstalling te installeren.

Welke binnenunits werden er geïnstalleerd en wat was de precieze reden voor dit?

Geert Demarie: “Waar mogelijk hebben we compacte cassettes gebruikt, aangezien deze gemakkelijk in het plafond kunnen worden geïnstalleerd... Men moet niet vergeten dat bepaalde ruimtes een zeer beperkte totale hoogte hebben: In dergelijk geval hebben we voor een wandmodel gekozen. In het plafond van de ontvangstruimte werd een roundflow cassette geïnstalleerd, die een optimale luchtverdeling garandeert. In het auditorium van Bank Nagelmackers, waar meetings met een officieel karakter worden gehouden, werd een inbouw satellietmodel geïnstalleerd, waardoor de visuele impact tot een minimum kon worden beperkt.

Hoe verliep de opstart?

Geert Demarie: “De opstart duurde een halve dag en verliep zeer vlot, ondanks het feit dat dit een compleet nieuw systeem is.

Waarom werd voor Daikin gekozen?

Geert Demarie: “Daikin was de enige die ons een technische oplossing kon bieden, dankzij het nieuwe i-concept (onzichtbaar) VRV-systeem. Bovendien werken we al lang samen met Daikin en we hebben een uitstekende ervaring met de kwaliteit van de producten, en vooral met de klantenservice. Bovendien is de beschikbaarheid van wisseldelen een enorm pluspunt. Normaal gesproken krijgen we de onderdelen de dag na het plaatsen van onze bestelling, maar soms is levering op dezelfde dag ook mogelijk voor dringende gevallen."

Wat is de ervaring met deze installatie tot nu toe?

Geert Demarie: “De klant is zeer tevreden, en dat is het belangrijkste voor ons.”

VRV-i: De eerste echt onzichtbare VRV

De VRV IV-i-serie biedt een unieke oplossing, voor die situaties waarin een volledig onzichtbaar VRV-systeem nodig is. Het systeem wordt volledig binnenshuis geïnstalleerd en onttrekt warmte aan de buitenlucht via roosters die in de gevel van het gebouw zijn geïnstalleerd.

De VRV-i warmtepomp bestaat uit een aparte compressormodule en een warmtewisselaar. De compacte compressormodule kan worden afgedekt en eenvoudig op de vloer, in een berging, in een technische ruimte of in een keuken worden geïnstalleerd. De warmtewisselaar kan in een plafond worden gemonteerd. Hiermee wordt de warmtepomp geheel aan het zicht onttrokken en bezet dus geen duur commercieel vloeroppervlak.

 

Een voordelige oplossing

Zelfs wanneer het mogelijk is om een buitenunit te installeren, zijn er een voldoende voorbeelden waar een binnenunit een betere oplossing is, zoals in gebouwen met een mix van commerciële en residentiële ruimten. Er is geen visuele hinder en aangezien de units binnenshuis zijn geïnstalleerd, is er een dure geluidsisolatie nodig. Een kraan is evenmin nodig voor de installatie, omdat de unit in twee delen wordt geleverd.Deze lichte componenten kunnen door twee personen worden geïnstalleerd.

Dankzij de kortere lengtes van de leidingen van de binnenunits kost de installatie van koelleidingen ook een stuk minder. Een installatie kan ook aan de gevel of aan de achterzijde van het gebouw worden uitgevoerd, aangezien de de inverter ventilator van de warmtewisselaar het mogelijk maakt om de ESP-druk aan te passen aan de lengte van de buizen.

 

Oplossing in een notedop

Onze VRV IV i-reeks is in twee delen onderverdeeld en is zeer flexibel en eenvoudig te plaatsen. Plaats de lichte warmtewisselaarunit (1) in uw vals plafond en installeer de compacte compressorunit (2) in de achterkamer van een kantoor, een opslagruimte of een keuken. Vermijd installaties op daken en in steegjes, zonder kostbare commerciële ruimte op te offeren.
